Help At-Risk Animals
The Humane Society of Loudoun County (HSLC) is a foster-based, all-volunteer non-profit organization that saves and improves the lives of vulnerable animals by providing care and placing adoptable animals into loving forever homes.
Thanks to community support, HSLC helped thousands of animals in 2023:
- nearly 200 cats and dogs fostered
- over 200 community cats helped
- nearly 6,000 animals fed via the Loudoun Pet Pantry
HSLC has been helping animals since our founding in 1966. Since we have no paid staff or a physical shelter; all of our animals are in foster homes or in temporary boarding until they are adopted into their furever homes.
"I swear I feel like I hit the jackpot with these two kitties; they are so awesome! They love each other, they love me, they love the house...and it's just an absolute joy to have them. I love them so much! I also love the attention and support I've gotten from you guys; this is the only way to adopt cats. Thank you so much for following up and giving me the tips." - Happy Adopter
